The project site is within the Dongting Lake Scenic Area, on the peninsular of Tian Deng Zui. A series of lifestyle retail buildings and a boutique hotel connect the city to the north with the South Lake to the south. The project seeks to merge into the hillside park to the west, setting up three ground levels to negotiate with the undulating site elevations, hence improving the accessibility of the retail street.

The massing of the buildings primarily adopts sloped roofs to achieve a moderate sense of scale. The layout of the internal streets is configured to preserve an existing pond, creating a variety of landscape experiences to interact with water. The meandering experience would create a vigorous link between the park, the lake, the surrounding communities, and the visiting tourists.
